Arrive in time to settle into your warm and welcoming room, before joining us in the cosy
lounges by the roaring fires for a light cream tea buffet of fresh scones with jam and clotted
cream, delicious cakes and finger sandwiches.
The evening commences with a sparkling cocktail and canapés reception with our General
Manager and his team, while a visit from the local carol singers is set to get you in the
Christmas mood.
Later, dress to impress and pose in front of the Christmas tree for a photo which is then
yours to take home as a memento of your stay, before making your way into the AA Rosette
restaurant for a splendid four-course gala dinner. After dinner, find a cosy chair in the bar,
lounge or conservatory and enjoy the soothing tunes from our charming resident singer.

Start your day with a bit of magic, as we say good morning with a traditional Cumbrian breakfast
and a glass of Bucks Fizz, and who knows, perhaps Santa will still be about! Enjoy the morning
at your leisure, whether you choose to relax in the comfort of the hotel or join in the Christmas
treasure hunt, in our beautiful surroundings – there’s even a chance to win a prize!
After the Lakeland air has stimulated your appetite, it will be time to enjoy a sumptuous
five-course Christmas Day lunch in the restaurant. Make sure you leave room for coffee and
Christmas cake which will be served during the King's speech at 3pm.
In the evening, enjoy a selection of local delicacies as we present our Cumbrian ‘Lakes & Fells’
buffet, prepared by our talented Head Chef and his team. After a day of festive fun, unwind with
our Christmas quiz and ‘guess the weight of the Christmas cake’ competition for a chance to win
a prize.

Four course farewell dinner, with port and cheese nibbles, followed by coffee
After a truly traditional Cumbrian breakfast, join us on a picturesque
guided walk, where a tasty light lunch and refreshments will be awaiting
your arrival at a local beauty spot halfway round. On your return to the hotel, an
indulgent hot chocolate station has been prepared, where you can expect the full works - milk
and white chocolate, Nutella, whipped cream, mini marshmallows and more. Following this, why
not take part in a sparkling wine and mince pie tasting!
In the evening, we’re joined by Robin the Cartoonist who will provide you with a unique memento
of your stay with us. Afterwards, get ready for the magnificent four-course Boxing Day dinner
followed by port and cheese nibbles as you relax in the bar.
