After settling into your warm and welcoming room, a delectable cream tea buffet awaits you in our
cosy lounges; complete with finger sandwiches, cakes, scones and plenty of freshly brewed tea.
In the evening, you are invited to a sparkling cocktail and canapés reception hosted by our General
Manager and his team in the lounge bar, as he takes the opportunity to tell you of the coming days’
events and entertainment. Later on, enjoy a wonderful four-course welcome dinner, prepared by
our Head Chef, in the award-winning restaurant. After dinner, relax with a selection of board games
in the lounges, where you can help yourself to port and cheese nibbles.

Prepare for the forthcoming celebrations with a hearty Cumbrian
breakfast and a glass of Bucks Fizz. If you’re feeling energetic
afterwards, join in our fun treasure hunt taking place in the beautiful
surroundings of the hotel – the winner gets a special prize!
Once the crisp Lakeland air has stimulated the senses, return to the
comfort of the hotel, where you can indulge in our hot and cold buffet
lunch. Or alternatively, get ‘gin-spired’ at our informal Bedrock gin
tasting in the bar. Robin the Cartoonist will also be around to provide
you with a unique memento of your stay.
In the evening, prepare yourself for a unique dining experience, as
our Head Chef and his team have prepared a splendid five-course
gala dinner. Later, dress to impress and pose in front of the Christmas
tree for a photo which is then yours to take home as a memento of
your stay.
After dinner, dance the night away, as our resident DJ entertains
until 1am. On the stroke of midnight, we wish you all a Happy New
Year with a glass of bubbly and a snack before a final fling on the
dancefloor! Look out for the piper during the evening.

New Year’s Day quiz and prizes
There is no need to get up early, as this morning we transport you to the French Quarter of New Orleans from 10am – 2pm, when we host our iconic jazz brunch. With a Bucks Fizz in hand, make your way to the fabulous hot and cold buffet, whilst tapping your toes to the sounds of the live jazz band.
If you’re in the mood for fresh air, join our not-too strenuous guided walk to a picturesque location and enjoy pizza & refreshments (weather permitting). Upon your return, enjoy a relaxed wine tasting session.
In the evening, a four-course farewell dinner is served in our award-winning restaurant, before relaxing in the lounge bar in time for our New Year’
